It seems like my energy levels are close to zero...searching for a place to live for months and months has totally drained me. I find it hard to do much other than the daily tasks I need to keep the day going...if even that...I really pray that we'll find a home very soon, so we can settle down at last.
It's almost been a year, since we moved from London back to Denmark. Deciding to live in Copenhagen has been harder than I ever thought it would be. Apart from the living situation there also the fact that we do not really have a network - and with a child that's especially hard. We didn't have one in London either, since we had no family around and knew very few people, and here in Copenhagen it's pretty much the same, since family is 4-6 hours drive away, so we have to rely on each other, Adam, my husband and I to make it work every day and when Adam's is sick we stay home in turns.
Right now I work very little, so it's easier for me to take a day off at home, but I plan to work a lot more in the new year, but hopefully at that point Adam will be more used to all the germs in nursery. He never used to get sick, but since starting nursery he's had a lot of sick days, poor boy.
I'm still decorating Adam's room in my head...I've changed my love for grey and white to black and beige. I want to paint the walls dark in his room and make him a magical room with an ethnic touch. I'm really not into the pastel universe - but it's easy to get caught up in the "popular" themes, colours and decor pieces for kids...I want to now make it MY style; dark and magical and ethnic is the direction I want to go with for his space.
I've bought him the book with maps today - it's such a great book that he can enjoy for years. Quality toys really are the best and in our house we LOVE books! I also got him the chalk board - going to buy chalk tomorrow, so we can start having fun with it. The rest I'll have to wait to get until we have a home - fingers crossed that it's going to be sooner than later...
